Why stay here?
You are visiting The Hide to enjoy the countryside and its offerings... owls that live in the hay barn at the bottom of the half acre, hares that live in the fields, ancient Oak trees and general tranquility. We advise guests to treat their visit as luxury glamping in order manage expectations. It does not have the facilities of a 5* hotel, it has limitations! It can get hot in the summer, we provide a fan, it does not have AC but it is such a glorious location it's perfect to sleep with the trifold doors open.
Access to the Hide is via a narrow tarmac track that is also public bridle path and public footpath network offering fabulous walking and exploring from the Hide. While they are infrequently used you may come across riders so please be considerate and don't startle horses. we have placed a mirror on the path so that when you exit the property in a vehicle, please do check that nothing 2 or 4 legged is coming up or down the track before pulling out.
We are super environmentally friendly and conscious of our carbon footprint with this latest addition. We have planted over 1200m of native hedging in 2024, using the fleeces from our Ryeland sheep flock to mulch and retain moisture during establishment. Unfortunately due to power restrictions and insurance cover the provision of electric vehicle charging has been prohibited. If you drive an EV and need a charging point we can give you information.
